The Coral Reef Outreach Network (CRON) announced the winners of its 3rd annual Living Reef Awards tonight at a special function at the Honolulu Elks Lodge. The annual event honors businesses, organizations and community leaders who have, through their actions, demonstrated a significant commitment to protect and nurture Hawaii’s coral reef ecosystem.

The celebration drew hundreds who enjoyed the live entertainment, raffle, silent auction and buffet dinner as well as the presentation of awards donated by Tiffany & Company.

More than 20 businesses and leaders were nominated by community members in seven categories: Commercial Ocean Recreation Business, Commercial Travel and Tourism Business, Commercial Division Commercial and Retail Business, Non-Commercial Government Agency, Non-Commercial Educational Institution, Non-Commercial Non-Governmental Organization, and Lifetime Achievement.
